02-02-08 - Single again. After over 5 years of trying on both our parts, Monica and I have gone our separate ways. Monica moved to Ahwatukee with her children and I remain in the house. It is up for sale and I am hoping that the market turns around but I am pretty committed to selling. I am happy and doing well.

01-30-08 - Golf is Fun. I am working on my game and until my recent separation was playing every week with my friends. I still play occasionally but I am trying to get things done to sell the house and watch my budget. I recently went with friends to the FBR Open and watch the events with a corporate pass that allowed FREE food and drinks. It was a great day. We went back to my friends house, ate brauts and watched the Super Bowl.

08-01-07 - Back at Southwest Behavioral Health. Although I really enjoyed working at Remuda Ranch, I was not getting the family time I needed to complete my independent licensure. I went back to my old job and am on track to complete my licensure requirements for working independently in August or September. It really was a move that God had in mind. I really enjoy my work

1-1-07 -- I started a new job working with patients being treated for eating disorders in Wickenburg, AZ. It is a long drive (1.15) but it is worth it. It is a Christian based organization that is on the cutting edge of this treatment. They are world renown for their treatment and it seems to be a perfect fit for me. All of my experience as a pastor and as a Therapist, has just come together in this tremendous location. I have led my first lady to Christ this past week which really is God's stamp of approval on the new job.

1-11-07 -- All of the boys seem to be doing well and have been in contact a lot lately. Matt is doing well with his new job and bought a new snow plow for his four wheeler with the money he got for Christmas. Jonah has been able to refinance his mortgage, pay some bills, and get some things going for his condo. He got a car from his work, a 4-wheel drive Suburu, that seems to be working out for him. Harry is started school again Monday and has moved in with a friend to share expenses. His job is going well and managing to do school and work.

11-28-06 -- I begin a new job as a Marriage and Family Therapist at a Christian residential facility for women with eating disorders. I was at Southwest Behavioral for nearly 3 years and learned much about community mental health. The new job offers supervision for licensure, more money, and an opportunity to practice family counseling in an area proven to be effective. Best of all, I can use the wealth of spiritual information, my gifts teaching, and prayer with clients in this new position.

6-26-06 - I passed the state licensure exam and became a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist on August 1st. This means I am licensed to practice in Arizona under supervision. In about a year and a half, I will be licensed to practice independently. This is a tremendous milestone that started in September 2002. I thank everyone who prayed and sent well wishes my way during this time. I thank my Mom, Dad, and wife for encouraging me and providing the support I needed to finish. I really enjoy my job and look forward to helping others in the future.

5-8-06 -- Jonah was visiting and we were coming home on the freeway at rush hour and traffic came to a dead stop. We were stopped and rear ended by a Semi Truck that was going about 35 mph. The results are seen in these photos. I am thankful today that:

Though I was hit, I was not the one who hit,
Though I shed blood, I was my own and no one else's,
Though my son and I both were hurt, we are only sore now,
Though struck by a Semi, I was in a truck, not a Pinto,
Though we had injuries, none of the other 3 vehicles and people were hurt,
Though my truck is gone, my life is not,
Though the trauma is vivid, my friend's and family's prayers are more vivid.

5-14-06 -- On Mother's Day, Jonah, Monica, and I went to see my step-mother in Apache Junction, went to my Mom's grave, took a trip to the Desert Botanical Gardens to see the Butterfly Exhibit, and went out to dinner for Sushi. It was a nice trip and a good day.

5-27-06 -- This is the date for my State Licensure Exam. I have been studying but with all that has happened and having to deal with insurance companies, doctors, and lawyers, it has put an added stress and anxiety on me. This test is the most difficult of the National Counselors Exams and many do not pass it the first time. It is four hours long and requires about $300 in fees. If you fail, you must pay the fees again, your license is delayed and nothing counts in your residency toward full licensure. Pray that I am able to get through this and pass the test.

3-13-06 -- Winter is here in Arizona, it just doesn't make it below 4,000 feet. Harry and I spent the day together, went to Elvira's Restaurant in AJ, took pictures of the snow on the mountains in contrast to the desert, and spent some time at my Mom's grave and with my Dad and step-mom's. I am richly blessed to have at least one of my children so close. More pictures of our day can be found on Harry III page. BTW, Harry needs a car. Pray that he finds the right one. Also, he is in the process of having to move to a new location. Matt, Harry, and I are working on some things that needs prayer as well.

3-12-06 -- Who is this little guy? Check out some pictures I have added that I found when going through some things my Mom left me. I am so surprised at how quickly time has passed. I will be 50 in May and I still can't believe it. All of the boy's pages and my Dad's page have also been updated.

I am finally scheduled for my licensure exam and am studying just about everyday so that I can pass it the first time. I spend two hours a week in supervision where I am also studying and presenting difficult cases to learn more about practicing marriage and family therapy. I really am not doing nothing special right now except working. Hope to get in some golf soon, but who knows. I know that I have got to take some time to smell the roses along the way.

3-12-06 --These guys look like they are having fun, well, at least one of them. For more pictures of these guys and their brother, click on the photo. These are also some of the photos I got from going through some of my Mom's stuff she had put aside for me. I hope the boys will forgive me.

Harry found another apartment and will be moving at the end of this month. Harry finished Spanish 101 with a 95 and is continuing to do well in school. Jonah and Matthew are doing well I guess. I don't get to hear from them that often.

2-26-06 -- Our Guest Log has been removed because of security. Somehow, computer bots were able to infiltrate the log and post messages directing others to gambling, mortgage, and other sites. We were essentially spammed by unauthorized users. Posting Feedback is the next best thing to let us know how you are doing or leave us a message. You can also use our e-mail addresses to drop us a line or note. Until I can figure out a secure way to post a message to our guest log, it will be off-line. You can post comments still to my Blog or once again, the feedback form securely.

2-26-06 -- Harry has been doing well in school, takes his Spanish Final this week and begins Spanish II soon. He is still working hard and going to school. Last week he found out that the apartments passed a "Breed Restriction" rule. No, this does not mean he cannot get married and have children :-) it means that his dog is no longer accepted and he will have to find a new place to live. He has a lease and is not pressed to do anything immediately but he is looking for a new place where Jagger will be accepted. Harry's pit-bull is his companion, friend, and family. He has met this challenge before and is determined to meet it again. We will be there for him and help him.

2-26-06  -- Matt is incognito again :-) I called him today and his number is not working. I know the guy has the money to keep a cell phone on and hope he visits the web page and lets me know what is going on. Last time I talked to him he was doing fine and "chillin like a villin" making decisions about what his future holds.

2-26-06  -- I talked with Jonah today and his 90 day probation for supervisor and will be getting a raise soon. He is working and not doing much of anything else. He is well and hopefully will be able to get a much needed vacation soon. It would be nice for him to be able to fly out to sunny Arizona to enjoy the Cole Country Club :-)

bullet 2-26-06 -- Harriett and Tom are doing well. They are living in their new guesthouse while their full-size home is finishing up in Missouri. They discovered that what they thought was a tumor on my sister's spine was actually a ruptured disc and she is greatly relieved that they are able to treat it well to give her more comfort. She starts radiation next week for the cancer after having completed all of the chemo-therapy. She seems to be in good spirits and she and Tom are really enjoying the mild winter in Missouri. Continue to pray for her and her complete recovery from this cancer.

bullet2-26-06 -- My Brother Bill -- Bill and Linda stated that their life was great and they are doing well. They are looking for a Honda Civic to get some transportation going. Bill is still on crutches but raves how well Linda is taking care of him during his convalescence from the broken leg. He will have to use a cane but has recently been able to get in the shower without assistance. Linda stated she was just diagnosed with Emphysema and is planning to quit smoking.

bulletMy Niece Holly Mozzone - Holly's paternal grandmother passed away and her biological Father helped her to come to the funeral here in Arizona. After the funeral, Holly came to our house and we had dinner together and got to talk before she had to return to Seattle. Holly is a special person and is devoted to her family and her faith. She is married to a great guy and she has beautiful children.

Extended Family -- NEW PHOTOS, NEWS AND LAYOUT
Harry Sr. -- my Dad and Fannie

Matt is alive and well and readjusting to American life in Colorado. I have talked to him a couple of times and he sounds good.

Harry is doing well in school and aceing his Spanish classes. He continues to work hard and go to school, but he is adjusting well to the schedule and will be in good shape if he continues to balance his life and work.

Jonah was fighting a sinus infection last I talked to him and doing well otherwise.

I am just working and studying for my licensure exam.

2005 was a difficult year but it had it's blessings as well as trials.

Trials
* My Dad was seriously ill in January
* My Mother passed away in September
* My Sister Harriett was diagnosed with breast cancer in September
* Harriett had surgery in October for the cancer
* My brother Bill's cancer returned in September
* I had to have a root canal when my mother was dying
* I had to have another tooth surgically removed in December
* My brother fell and shattered his femur below the knee, had extensive reconstructive surgery, convalesced in a Nursing home, and is negatively affected the rest of his life (walking with supports - walker/crutches)

Blessings
* My Dad recovered and is doing well
* I moved into our new home in March
* I finished my internship as a Marriage & Family therapist
* Trip to Las Vegas to Celebrate
* I sold my website Sermons.org
* Refinanced our home which appreciated over 100,000 in 9 months

2006 is getting started and I really wanted things to go better but the rain falleth and everyone gets wet

My sister is continuing Chemo-therapy in Missouri where they are building a new house. She had some problems with her back and the neurologist found a tumor on her spine and two tumors in her kidneys. Under normal circumstances (don't really understand what 'normal' is) these would be benign but because of the history it might be malignant. She has to wait until the chemo and radiation is over before they do surgery on her spine.

My brother continues his chemo with his busted up leg. He seems to be doing well but cannot get around like he once did. He is hopeful with the chemo that everything will be OK. This picture was from the last time he visited AZ when Mom was getting ready for he graduation. He is doing well but will have to walk with a cane for the rest of his life. We are all hoping and praying that the cancer will go back into remission.

I am in the process of licensure but securing a Licensed Supervisor is difficult with the changes in the law. I think it is proceeding but I have to take the State and National Exam soon.

Harry has returned to school after many years and is doing well. He lost his Cell but now has another with the same number as before. 480-593-6935 Harry is now enrolled in college again taking Spanish and Anthropology. He is really enjoying school right now.

Jonah is a supervisor in his position now and states he is doing well. We hope to get him out here again in March or April. This picture was from last July when Mo and I returned to the Northeast for her mother's funeral. Jonah still looks good but has a bit more hair.

Matthew is missing --- last message to the board was about vomit-smiley-024.gif on the way to London. So, Matthew, if you are out there somewhere, give us a ring, e-mail, or IM, just to say hello.

Guess that pretty much catches things up.

1-1-06 -- In solidarity with my sister, who is going through chemotherapy and has lost all her hair, I shaved my head, made a picture calendar and sent it to her for her birthday which was January 1st. Please, continue to pray for my sister as her chemo continues and her radiation begins. Pray for my brother as well who has stage 4 lymphoma. Having lost my Mom to cancer in September, I am especially concerned about my siblings and their battle to rid themselves of this dreaded disease.

1-14-06 -- This is the only picture of my mother below the age of 18.

This picture is when she was 9-years-old and we believe this to be her

cousin. If anyone has any pictures of Mom, please send them to us so

I can share them with everyone. You can click on this picture to get the full size.

1-14-06 -- This is a great picture of my Father's mother. Grandpa Cole was married 4 times and Dad's mom, whom I never knew died long before I was born. In this picture is Uncle Curlin and Lucille.

November 2005 -- Thanksgiving was a wonderful time and even with the sorrow of the Summer and Early Fall, we still found a lot of things to be thankful for. I was especially thankful to spend the day with my Father, Step-Mother, my eldest son and my wife. We had a wonderful meal and great fellowship  Immediately after Thanksgiving, we flew to Las Vegas for the weekend and celebrated my last internship meeting and the full completion of my degree. I now have residency to fulfill but am fully a Marriage and Family Therapist. We had a great time in Las Vegas but you know, what's done in Vegas stays in Vegas.

8-13-05 -- Jonah visits with Mom. Mom's condition continues to be fluid from day to day -- she is managing the pain and seems to be doing well. Jonah flew in to visit for a week before he begins his new job in Massachusetts. I will have more pictures later of Joe's visit.

8-14-05 -- When it rains, it pours. Harriett, my sister, will be having surgery next week for breast cancer. The details are being laid out on Wednesday. I also found out that my brother Bill's cancer has returned and although he is here visiting Mom now, he has to return to New York for more chemo-therapy.

When upon life's billows you are tempest tossed
When you are discouraged thinking all is lost
Count your many blessings name them one by one
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

Right now -- I am making a list of blessings but the cloud of despair and the rain of torment is crowding out the sunshine of blessings. I know they are there somewhere, I am praying I can find them and count them soon.

8-8-05 -- Mom spent the past week in Hospice and the pronouncement that she would not last a week has, thankfully, did not come true. In fact Mom has "rallied" when William, Holly, and Bridget came in from out of state to see her. Many dying people rally as the doctor told us but he also said that he does not believe it is more than four weeks before she departs for heaven's shore.  CALL HER - 480-883-6679 starting tomorrow or call Harriett's cell which is 817-320-0661.

7-22-05 -- So far we have not had but one guest sign our guestbook -- It would be really nice if everyone took a shot at it and let us know what they think. We are always expanding our ideas for the website and really enjoy that people are using it. Our hit counter tells us that people are visiting occasionally but it would be nice to get some feedback and names from real people :-)

7-18-05 -- Check out my latest musings on "Harry's Life" Web Blog

7-17-05 -- New Photos added to Gallery of my Photographic practice. Good Photos of landscapes, flowers, and scenery that I have taken since about 2000. Click on the picture to see more.

7-16-05 -- Mom's condition remains fluid (changing). The pain management specialist has taken off some anxiety medication because she is beginning to forget important things and sometimes remembers only moment to moment. We are prayerful that her condition will not get worse but NOW is the time to call her and talk to her while she can still remember. She wonders why no one ever calls her -- it would do wonders for her to hear some grand kids voices. I call her twice a day just to let her hear my voice. Pray for her and call her if you can find a minute in your busy day - 480-883-6679 or call her cell on the WEEKENDS ONLY --817-789-7269

7-16-05 -- My niece, Holly, sent some pictures and we have updated the "Extended Family" page. Great pictures of Holly, Harriett, and Mom.

Happy Birthday Mom 7-10-1927
78 Years Young

7-9-05 Mom's condition is very fluid. Last time they told her it was slow and they could not radiate one area. This next week, Mom begins Radiation again on Monday the 11th for a mass that has developed in an area outside the previously radiated area. The radiation is more to minimize the pain in the future than to treat the cancer. Mom has begun to regularly deal with the pain and seems to be tolerating the medication. She doesn't like taking it but it is effective. Her pain is now chronic but pain management seems to be effective for her. PLEASE pray for her comfort and do not be afraid to give her a call -- 480-883-6679 -- her cell phone is 817-789-7269

Matt's Web Pages are updated. NEW address, e-mail, & Pics.

Continue to pray for my Mom. Her pain is increasing as is her pain meds. They found another small mass that they cannot radiate. This, according to the doctor, is a slow moving cancer. I guess that can be good and bad. She is comfortable and the pain medication is working well for her when she takes it.

Also pray for my brother William (Bill). His lymphatic cancer is now in remission after months of chemotherapy. We are very glad that he is doing much better. Pray that the cancer continues to remit and he is able to live comfortably.

Happy Birthday Matt

May 27th, 2005

-- Graduation Pics are up now. I graduated with our Masters degree on April 4th. Monica has her masters in Secondary Education and I have mine in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling.

2-6-05 -- Matthew is getting ready for Vacation and so is Harry. Matt will be going to Venezuela and Harry to the jungles of Peru. Wow! What happened to my Disneyworld kids!  Just kidding. Pray for them as they travel in the next month and a half.

Mom is doing well and we really don't have a significant update on her cancer but she seems to be doing well. My brother Bill is having a struggle with his cancer treatment. He has suffered the illness that often is a side effect of the chemo-therapy.

Dad is doing much better and the treatment for his problem is progressing well.

1-14-05 I am now officially an MC/MFT Intern and have completed all my classes for my masters degree. Monica too is in her last seminar for her masters in education. We will be graduating April 3rd in Phoenix. We are also so happy about being finally done with our programs. God has been so good to us.

1-3-05 -- Dad came home yesterday and we are all glad that he is doing much better. He has to follow-up with the urologist and his regular doctor but he is not in any pain and is not passing any more blood. You can call to wish him well by dialing 480-984-2346. Thanks to all who prayed for him.

1-2-05 -- Dad called and had me take him to the ER on Thursday, December 30th, 2005. He has had some problems with bleeding and it had not resolved. We spent the whole day on Thursday with him and the Dr. admitted him to try to find out the source of the bleeding internally. He did not feel ill and was in no pain. Once the catheter was in place, things began to slowly get better but they still had not figured out where the bleeding was coming from. It was a hectic New Years and couple of days but we were able to finally talk to the Dr. and the bleeding stopped on New Year's Eve. The Urologist stated that he believes it is probably an inflammation of Dad's prostate. The drugs Dad takes to thin his blood assisted the bleeding. He was slated to go home yesterday 1-1-05, but they could not get the X-ray they wanted because of some intestinal blockage. If this resolves today, 1-2-05, he will be able to go home and follow up with tests outside the hospital. Pray with us that all will go well and Dad will get to come home.
